Thirty questions, straight answers.
Booking a trip
Most international trips are best booked 60–120 days in advance for the widest selection of fares and routing options. We can still arrange travel within 14 days—and often even within 24 hours—but availability and pricing may be more limited. For groups of 10 or more, we recommend securing space at least 90 days before departure.
No. Our margin is built into the fare we quote you, the same way other travel agencies work. You see the all-in total, not a fare plus a service fee.
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), ACH/wire for bookings over $50,000, and direct invoicing for credentialed organizations.
Yes, on net-30 terms after a one-time credentialing call. Most denominations and recognized sending agencies pre-qualify.
We only book missionary, church and humanitarian travel. Every fare we touch is on a missionary contract. The agent who picks up the phone has done this for years.
Missionary fare eligibility
Anyone traveling on official business for a recognized 501(c)(3) faith-based or humanitarian organization. Proof of nonprofit status or organizational affiliation may be required.
Yes. Short-term mission teams traveling under their church's authority qualify the entire team, including youth volunteers.
Yes. The fare extends to most accredited humanitarian and relief workers traveling on organizational business.
Yes — spouse and dependent children traveling on the same itinerary as the missionary qualify automatically.
Baggage and equipment
Two free 50-lb checked bags is standard on the missionary fare across our 35+ partner airlines. Some partners allow three or four for long-term moves.
We coordinate written airline waivers in advance for ultrasound units, surgical packs, refrigerated vaccines and other specialized equipment. Submit equipment list at booking.
Yes. We pre-book either an extra seat or oversize cargo space and waive instrument fees on the missionary fare.
Overweight fees vary by carrier ($75–$200). For repeat overweight needs, we can rebook on a carrier with higher allowances or coordinate cargo at lower cost.
Tickets and pricing
Missionary fares are typically 20–40% below the cheapest published economy fare on the same route, with free bags worth another $80–$200 round-trip, more flexible change rules, and (on most carriers) longer ticket validity.
No. They're a separate fare class — the same seat, but under a missionary contract with the airline. You won't find them on public booking sites.
Yes — common for long-term missionaries. One-way missionary fares typically run 55–70% of the round-trip rate.
Date changes and refunds
Free date changes are standard up to 14–21 days before departure on most missionary fares. Inside that window, change fees are usually $75 vs the $250+ published-fare change fee.
We rebook free of charge to a later date on the same fare class, as long as you let us know at least 48 hours before departure.
Most missionary fares are refundable to original form of payment minus a $75–$200 cancellation fee — the exact figure depends on the airline and contract. Refundability applies up to 14 days before departure.
Group travel
From 2 to 120+ on a single booking. Groups of 10+ get block-fare pricing; 30+ get a dedicated agent and consolidated invoicing.
Yes. We routinely route 20-person teams from 6+ different origin airports onto the same international flight, under one group fare.
Real-time name management up to 14 days before departure, free. Inside that window, $75 per name change vs the $250+ published-fare change fee.
Visas and passports
We don't apply on your behalf, but we provide visa lead-time data for the top 30 mission countries and recommend trusted visa-expediting services.
Most destinations require at least 6 months validity remaining at entry. We flag any team passport that doesn't meet that bar at booking.
Yes — we generate a flight-itinerary letter and trip-purpose letter that most consulates accept as proof of travel.
Emergencies on the trip
Our 24/7 emergency line rebooks return flights, coordinates evacuation routing, and arranges family-member ticketing for return travel companions.
We rebook the team onto the next available carrier at no fee, including connecting through alternative gateways if needed.
Yes — especially for medical evacuation coverage in regions with limited healthcare. We can refer to mission-specific carriers.
Same-day, including a 30-person Latin America team rerouted on 4-hour notice after a regional airline grounded its fleet.
